Summary: Responsible for engineering aspects of centrifugal chiller products released to production, including design of special order and customized products, maintenance and option extension/additions to existing products. Duties: •Support product/development testing and design activities in support of engineering objectives. •Design modifications to standard products to an acceptable quality, performance, safety, and cost standard. •Provide technical guidance to Marketing, Applications, Manufacturing and Purchasing. •Assist in various Cost Improvement Goals, proposing new ideas and initiating cost reduction and product improvement effort to increase overall value of product. •Handle field service problems on a sound engineering and timely basis. •Take on project management responsibilities and work on business process improvement projects. •Keeps current on product and component technology improvements and industry trends to effectively perform functions of the position. •Investigate engineering/manufacturing issues related to assembly of product and take corrective action to resolve and prevent recurrence of problems. •Investigate application and field issues related to operation of product and take corrective action to resolve and prevent recurrence of problems. •Maintain agency and regulatory approval status (UL, CRN, ASME, KHK, CE, etc.) •Maintain product documentation to assure engineering documentation, drafting documentation, and product are consistent. Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 5-10 years Centrifugal Chiller experience •Good problem solving, communication and team skills. •Good PC skills. •Thorough understanding of HVAC Theory and Application.
