Matchbox Realty is searching for a Portfolio manager to join our team and manage growing portfolio of approximately 125 non-student units. All of our portfolio managers are supported by an excellent and knowledgeable office staff. Candidate must possess the following skills: Manage all aspects of the operation of a portfolio of properties Perform regular on-site inspections and communicate with Tenants and Owners. Work with staff members to ensure vacant units are rented in accordance with established office procedures. Attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a changing environment. Ability to contribute to a rapidly growing company. Dynamic leadership skills. Experience with Microsoft Office tools. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) required. Ability to learn and use property management specific software. Experience in Property Management industry is an asset but not required. Common sense and judgment in day-to-day matters Ability to solve tenant disagreements in an efficient & fair manner Neat, clean and appropriate appearance Team Player - Able to work closely with other Matchbox personnel Included in the overall responsibility of leasing apartments is taking telephone inquiries, greeting prospects, showing apartments, taking applications and deposits verifying information, and follow-up with all prospects. Interest in marketing or previous marketing experience is a plus. Maintains a detailed knowledge of the properties, amenities and community. Handles all aspects of leasing including: greeting prospective residents, touring the community, closing the sale', processing applications in a timely manner, typing leases, following up with prospects, obtains signatures for completion of leases/paperwork prior to move-in. Maintains working knowledge of Fair Housing laws, rules, and regulations concerning apartment leasing and management. Promotes resident retention. Must stay informed and comply with all policies and procedures as outlined in the Operations Manual, and Federal, State & local law. Must adhere to and comply with company safety policies and rules and utilize safety appliances, as required.
